Baby Room Update

Okay, some of you have been curious on how the baby room is coming.... and it's a bit slower than I had anticipated! I am "collecting" items to have in her room, but I am not a decorator and don't have the slightest idea how I am going to display them. It's been a fun time with Valentines and Easter because these fun springy colors are exactly what I am going for in HER (yes, still no name) room. I finally found ribbon that matched perfectly, which was really hard because it's a different pink. The bed skirt is done!! The bumper is just a day out, I think. And Matt and Treyson went on Saturday to switch out our crib for a different one that Matt's parents had at their second home in Logandale, Nevada. Yeah! It's a cherry color, which will work a lot better than the one we had. And it's so cute. I am hoping we can put it up this week. AND because most of you know I sold almost everything before we moved, I had to be on the search for new furniture. I lucked out and found a changing table off Craigslist, which is slim here in St. George. It's not the greatest thing, but for $25 I thought I could spruce it up with a paint job and MAYBE some new knobs, we'll see. It has three drawers, which cover me finding a dresser too so I was way excited about that. By the way, all you painters out there what is the best paint for painting furniture (and walls, if we can get to that)???

Salt Lake Trip

Last week Matt and I traveled up to Salt Lake to go to the Utah Dental Association Conference for a couple days. We started our trip on Wednesday afternoon, but soon ran into some ugly weather and couldn't make it past Filmore, Utah so we had to scramble to find a room for the night and we were very lucky to find one! There were huge lines to get rooms... So we set up camp and stayed the night there. We were bummed out because we called 20 minutes too late to cancel our reservation in Salt Lake so we thought we'd be charged for the room, but once we arrived in Salt Lake the next day the lady at the front felt bad for us and so she only charged us for the one night instead of two, woo hoo! I know some of you are in Utah and you know how big this storm was last week so you can relate. And me, being pregnant, thought I didn't need a coat because of my constant warmth... dumb idea! I was freezing!!!

We managed to squeeze in some shopping, eating out, and even a movie. And on the last day we walked past Temple Square and I even checked out the Primary exibit.

But we had a lot of fun spending time together without the kids and catching a familiar face or two at the conference. It was a mini Case reunion! It was so fun to see all of you. I had only wished it was a bit longer... maybe next year.

Aunt Ashley's Vegas Trip

Aunt Ashley came to Vegas a couple weeks back and me and the kids decided (actually I decided!) that we would take a quick day trip down there to see her since she didn't have a car to come see us! She was down there with some friends for a birthday celebration... We had a lot of fun seeing her and just catching up a bit. We didn't really do much because the kids weren't loving all the shopping we wanted to do, but it sure was fun to see her!
One of our shopping adventures included H&M (LOVE that store) and this one had kids too! Treyson wanted his picture taken with one of the "cool guys" in the store!

Mr. Cru

I decided that the second child doesn't get much of anything.... pictures taken of them, new clothes, extra attention... you get the point! So, this is dedicated to CRU. I took out my camera this morning and thought I'd snap some pictures of the guy and he performed pretty well. I didn't hold his attention for too long, I guess I'll have to learn some tricks. I just love his "no smile" look, it's precious! We love you Cru.

Sidenote: His hair looks a bit red, but it's blond all the way!
