Yesterday it downpoured on us... and that doesn't happen very often! Sooo, Treyson and I decided we would take our chances and run around in the rain! We had a lot of fun!!! It lasted a good 10 minutes and then we were ready to get dry and warm again. See... it DOES rain in the desert sometimes!

Adventures in Cru
Cru is growing up so fast! He has conquered the army crawl and now he's on to the real stuff... climbing. He's not too great at it so we have to watch him really close, but he thinks he's so big when he does it. He loves to help mom with the laundry (or just to be carried with all the clothes!) and he especially loves to play with his BIG brother and do everything he does.

Pioneer Day
On July 24th it's a holiday in Utah and for those of you that don't know, it's called Pioneer Day. This was my first Pioneer Day ever and we as a Primary were asked to help with a float in the parade. Treyson and I found the best clothes we could and dressed up. It was so fun to take part in the parade and although it was only a few blocks to walk I felt like those who came 160 years ago. I was also very appreciative to the "real pioneers" that walked across the plains to come here because those clothes are very hot!

Another Lake Trip
Last weekend we went to the lake AGAIN... what can we say? It's too hot here to do anything else! We had a lot of fun. This time we brought the innertube along for the ride...

Idaho Trip
We took a little road trip up to Idaho and down through Utah to visit some old friends. We met up with friends from Cleveland (the Gronemans & Jacksons), Haley's old friends (the roomies and Hyrum and family), and Matt's friend that he goes to the Dominican Republic with (Len & family). Treyson had a blast hanging out with Len's teenage kids Griffin, Brady, and Connor. They were nice enough to take him to play legos and hit around some baseballs. It was a lot of fun to get away for a mini vacation, but we've figured out that the kids max for driving is maybe 6 hours, probably less. It's fun to now live "near" some old friends!
The Fourth of July
The Lake
We went to Lake Mead one day last week and had a blast! It was
Cru and Shelby's first trip to the lake and they did great. They were
a little sleep deprived, but they loved to hang out with the family.
We managed to escape with no real big sunburns, yeah!
