Christmas Loot

Treyson and his Hot Wheels spinner case from Gma Cheetham
Treyson's ball set, Cru got a smaller one, but is in love with Treyson's, go figure.
Gma and Gpa Hammons got the "older" grandkids these cool roller racers, Cru, again, was jealous, looks like he might need one later. Matt surprised Haley with this pretty snowboard and boots, too bad they will go unused until next year, not too coordinated in that department, especially being pregnant!
Haley got a new sewing machine, she sold her other one before moving to St. George to lighten our moving load, so excited to have one again.

We had a great Christmas this year and we were so excited to not have to travel more than 10 miles!! No white Christmas, but we were okay with that. There's something about staying at your own home on Christmas and being able to enjoy each other and all your fun new things "Santa" brought. We spend Christmas Eve at Matt's parent's house and had a wonderful dinner and opened presents. We are glad to have family so close!

Look who is FINALLY walking...

Cru has finally decided that he can do the walking thing and he has left crawling in the dust.

He just decided enough was enough and he didn't want to be left out anymore! His aunt Annie things he looks like "Mini-Me" from Austin Powers because he holds his hands up by his chest, it's so cute. Way to go Cru!

GIRL Diaper Cake

FIRST girl present!! Matt's aunt Gayle made this for us, with a cute blanket with it too. It is so cute! So excited for a girl (names are still under discussion...), I'm having tons of fun finding cute things to dress her up in. Most of you know how thrifty I am and I finally decided to just "splurge" on a $10 sweater from Osh Kosh, I know, baby steps. Can you see those way cute black shoes on here???? They are so tiny.

Pregnancy Cravings

I have a new obsession during this pregnancy... Izze drinks! I love them. They are fruit juice with a sparkling water kick. I first had them on vacation visiting family in Washington over Halloween, we found them at Costco and my older sister said they were her favorite so we got them. And ever since then I have been craving an Izze! During one of my recent trips to Target I glanced over to another lady's cart and saw them in there, ahhhhhh, had to know where she got them!! I obviously found them and every time I go back to Target I pick up a few more packs... they have Apple (haven't tried yet), Clementine, Blackberry, Grapefruit, and Pomegranate at our Target. Not quite sure if there is any other flavor, but you must try them!!
Any strange cravings for any of you?

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Merry Christmas to all! We had attempted to take family pictures, but Haley forgot the boys clothes on her mad rush out the door to beat the sun going down. As you can see, she failed at both, oops. Better luck next time! We swear Cru smiles, but he is a hard one to catch...
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas and we are thinking of you all.

Late Night Rendezvous

And no it is not with Matt and I... it was the kids! We have decided to put them in a room together to get used to each other to make room for baby #3 and while it's had it's good days and bad days, last night was one of the bad ones, but very funny...

So we put them to bed probably around 8:15 pm or 8:30 pm because we had a vacuum saleman over trying to show us this awesome vacuum. Well, they both were the saddest kids in the world to have to go to bed, literally kicking and crying. Matt and I just let them be and left, hoping that they would just go to bed. So we make our way back to the saleman, hearing all their laughing and carrying on that they were doing. Matt goes to check them out after about 20 minutes of laughing and scream outbursts. It was raining outside and making lots of noises so when Matt goes in to check on the kids, Treyson had made it inside Cru's crib just hangin' out. He told us that the rain noises were making him scared so he had to go into Cru's bed to feel better. He also threw in all his pillows and Cru's bumper pad that we had taken off a few days earlier and turned on the closet light "so they could see." We had a good laugh, but put them "back to bed" and went back to our night.

Meanwhile the laughing continues and we just let them be hoping again that they will just get tired and fall asleep, because by now it's like 9:30pm. Our friend Clark comes over to bring us some yummy toffee and so we sit and chat with him while the monkey business continues to go on... Finally Matt decides to go in and be tough dad and make these kids be quiet and go to sleep around 9:50 pm. He proceeds to open the door and he finds Treyson completely naked sitting on his bed, closet lights on, and looks over at Cru and there he was all in his glory too!!! (Cru obviously had help from big brother because he had a full outfit of sweats, long sleeve shirt, onsie, diaper, socks, the whole works taken off him!) He couldn't help but laugh and have Clark and I come see what was going on. What do you do about that?!?!

After putting clothes back on, we ended up putting Treyson out in the living room to hang out with us while Cru went quickly to sleep after 10pm! Please tell me it will get easier with them in their room together.... somehow I'm thinking it doesn't. Fun story!

Cru's new obsession

Cru is currently obsessed with these random "Mardi Gras" necklaces. He LOVES to find them and quickly put them on, he even gets upset if you put them on! It is quite hilarious and doesn't make Matt the proudest father in the world, but he thinks it's pretty funny. He even had to bring it to church yesterday, but I quickly took it off before we got into sacrament to not get too many looks. We love our Cru!

It's Contagious...

Here's my new "do"! It was contagious... all the new haircuts, I had to do my too. I actually was overdue for a hair cut and I just decided it was time to go one color and a bit shorter. Maybe a lot shorter! I am quite happy with it. The boys were all excited about it and said I looked pretty.

Thanksgiving

Cru and his friend Bear
Cru and daddy
Shelby, Jon, and Annie (Matt's sis) going on a winter walk.... brr!
Kallie, Koda and Treyson in their winter hats.
It's S'MORE time! (Could I not find a better picture of me, ick!)

A little late, but very thankful!

We celebrated Thanksgiving this year with Matt's family up in the mountain cabin at Brian Head. We rented a cabin for the whole family and hung out there for three days. We had great plans to go snowboarding, skiing, sledding, but the weather didn't cooperate with us. They were actually making snow when we arrived up there on Wednesday. And then that night it snowed about 2-3 inches, but it was way too cold (in the teens) to take the kids out to have fun. Darn! Treyson insisted that he get to go out and so we got him all bundled up and he lasted maybe 5 minutes out there with grandpa. It was still fun hanging out in the cabin and Treyson still talks about how AWESOME it was. It had a little pool table/air hockey that he loved! And since Matt's older sister Jamie and her family were a little under the weather, they didn't spend the night up there with us and Treyson had the whole upstairs to himself, which he loved. Here are some fun pictures of our trip.

Baby Update

I went today to the specialist to take a look at baby girl's heart... and they could not find anything that was abnormal about it. Thank goodness! I wasn't too stressed out about it, but this definitely puts me at ease. The tech confirmed again that we were having a GIRL! I think all I need now is like 3 more ultrasounds before I start painting and shopping pink!! I'm slightly nervous about the whole pink world to be quite honest. And how am I going to do her hair??? I can't even do mine for heaven's sake! Anyways, counting my blessings today on a healthy baby!

BIG news to tell...

Okay, I have some pretty big news for all to hear.... I AM PREGNANT!!!! I haven't said anything because of my not-so-good track record with those things, but I guess this baby is here to stay because I am a whooping 21 weeks! We went to the doctor today to find out what the baby is... and it's a....

a....

a... are you getting anxious?

a...

GIRL!!! Well, 85% sure it's a girl!
We were very much in shock because we were sure it was another boy and I would have been happy either way. I've been leaning more girl the last week, but I am still not fully believing it's a "she" yet. For those of you counting, Cru and little sister will be only 17 1/2 months apart! Woah, little nervous about that!! Especially since Cru really loves his mom. Wish me luck. And any type of advice is well appreciated!
On another note, there were some questions about her heart valves and so they are referring me to a specialist to take a closer look. The doctor saw the four chambers, but one didn't have a closing like they should. Or something like that... that's why I bring Matt along, to remember all the medical details. I only pretend to know what they are talking about.
While this is somewhat disturbing, I'm trying hard not to be too stressed out. I'm sure everything will be just fine.
Soooo, that's the BIG news! I literally couldn't hold it in any longer! Even some people here in our ward don't know yet, I've hidden it well. Pictures to soon follow!! Hope all is well with everyone.

Washington Trip

Here are the pictures I promised! We had a great time in Washington visiting Haley's family... Treyson, Cru, and I. We survived two black eyes (one from each kid), an ear infection, a 24 hour flu, and forever runny noses!! We celebrated Halloween while we were there and that night Treyson came down with a little something. He was content just passing out the candy at the door! The next day he actually napped, which is unheard of, and later that night came down with a fever of 104 degrees--yikes! I MADE him have my sister Ashley put a cold cloth on him and it helped a lot. By the time I got home that night from Target it was down to 100.5, yah! I missed the throw up episode while at Target too, sorry Ash! But after a full day of recovery he was back to the ol' Treyson again. Cousin Teagen came down with an ear infection, not including his constant runny nose that we passed around a few times. It was a bit of a sleepless trip at times. We were able to have lots of fun with my brother's family and my older sister who came in from San Antonio. It was great to be able to see everyone and be able to hang out. We also were able to meet up with few old friends, which was really nice. Wished we lived closer!

We really are alive!

I know you all are waiting patiently for a new posting... so am I! I can't believe it's been a month since the last one. Oops. After the last posting I lost my camera, actually that day at the park! Sooo, we headed out to buy a new one, which ended up buying two, one for the "office" and one for the family. I HAD to have a camera for our trip to Washington! We had a lot of fun visiting old friends and lots of family time. We were plagued with a few sickness here and there and passed them around a few times. But all and all it was good times. I will have pictures later. I have a feeling there will be a boom of postings in the next month so beware, you will be sick of me! We are heading to Brian Head for some snow next week for Thanksgiving, Matt is hosting a free sealant day in his office on Saturday, he will be going on a scouting overnighter the next weekend, and then hopefully I will get to take a trip to visit friends in Cleveland for a weekend in December! So keep checking back for lots of good stuff!!!

Clevelanders Outing

We were lucky to have several friends run in the St. George Marathon this last weekend... shout out to Katie Budge, Jeff and Jamie Wursten, Matt Baird (who qualified for the Boston, congrats again to you!), Tresure Goates, and a few others. We made it down to the finish line to congratulate some of the finishers, but it was a ZOO down there and we only managed to see Katie and Jeff & Jamie finish. I was so proud of all the runners and without knowing 99% of them I was a little surprised how choked up I was getting for these random people. It is a huge accomplishment and I was glad to be a part of it all!

And with all the fun of the marathon, we decided to gather up some of our old Cleveland friends and meet for lunch at a park. We met on Sunday in between conference and had a good time catching up and seeing how much the kids have grown. We had the Budges, Bairds, Goates, Hendersons, and Carolyn (Becky Higgins friend from the west side). We missed the Wurstens (but met up with them on Monday at the park), Scholzens, and the Shakespears... we'll catch up with you guys later!

It was a blast to see you all, congrats again on your big accomplishment!

Birthday Party... another one!

We had Cru's birthday party with his cousin Shelby who is 6 days older than him. Aunt Annie and Haley had lots of fun with BALLS and BRACELETS. We put green and pink up to decorate our party. Cru's official birthday is tomorrow, the 11th, the same as Uncle John's (Shelby's dad) and so we kept the streamers up for a few more days. Treyson thinks "we should always have these decorations." Yah, maybe not Trey. No big plans for tomorrow, but he would not be oposed to another cupcake! He ate a ton of that cake!! Grandma and Grandpa Hammons got the birthday kids their very first trike, which they both LOVE. Cru is a different kid when he gets to go riding.
Wish I had more pictures to share, but my camera is M.I.A. right now and I'm thinking I may have left it at the park on Sunday...sad.

Cru and Shelby are ONE!

It's BATMAN

Treyson got this new cape for his birthday from Grandma Cheetham and thought it was so cool, he had to wear it! I tried to take a picture of him "flying" by, but couldn't get him fast enough... Thanks for the present!

Birthday 4 Fun!

Birthday morning, about to open all his presents from mom and dad.
I asked Treyson the night before what his favorite breakfast would be and he says... PIZZA! When I finally got him off the pizza idea (because that's what we were having for dinner) he said, donuts! So off we went early (OK, it was like 9am) the next morning and off we went in search of the sprinkled donut. Luckily we found it right away!! Check out his new Spiderman hat and Batman watch!
As creative as I could get on the invites, with not so much time!
I tried my hand at creating a dinosaur themed cake! I was so excited to FINALLY find some trees (after many stops!) and we stumbled upon candy rocks too that really made the cake! Treyson LOVED it! Yah for moms!
Opening presents!
Treyson is finally 4! After many, many, many days of asking, it finally came and he can officially and proudly say that he is 4 now. He was so excited for his DINOSAUR birthday party in the park and I was excited to not have it at my house. We played "Stick the horn on the 3 horn" and even dug for dinosaurs in the sand! It was just the right about of fun. Treyson is already talking about when he turns 5.... lets be 4 for at least a week!

Bath Time

Brotherly love
Cru loves that rubber ducky!
BIG brother... he actually looks pretty skinny in the picture!

Just some fun pictures during bath time, you have to have those every once and a while. Cru is a HUGE lover of the bath and gets way excited when the water gets turned on and he tries to get himself in --clothes and all. It's a good thing that he isn't tall enough yet! ... And then we have Treyson who would always go a least a week or more and not have a bath, he is not a fan!

Cru is 11 months old!

Our Cru is 11 months old already! We can't believe he is almost a year old already. It was a huge task to take this picture and I think it turned out just like he is... HAPPY. He is such a sweet little boy and he just loves life. He cruises around the house creating messes around every corner, but he's so dang cute you just have to smile at him. His favorite mess is to unroll the toilet paper and tear it to shreds, real fun to clean up! We love him... and so does Treyson, even though sometimes he doesn't want to admit it! I secretly hear him tell him that he is his best friend, so cute.

Labor Day

Treyson and Daddy
Having lots of fun on the boat.
A pair of real cute cousins!
Cru LOVING his red vines, just like his mom.... and aunties!
Treyson and Grandma
Aunt Annie, Shelby, and Aunt Molly

A little late, but I thought I'd share some pictures of our last Labor Day trip to the lake! If you want any... Annie or Molly... let me know! It was a blast --like always! Enjoy the pictures.

Tagged

I've been "tagged"
So I was "tagged" by CASSIE....so I have to post some info on myself.

Here are the rules:Here are the rules. I did not write the rules. Someone else wrote them.

1. You have to post these rules before you give the facts.

2. Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of their middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had.

3. When you are tagged you need to write your own blog post containing your own middle name game facts.

4. At the end of your blog post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

Okay here goes... I don't think this is fair I have a long middle name! It's TERESA, which sometimes I'm not a huge fan of, sorry dad.

"T"... I have to say TEETH, because right now it is our life! Matt just opened up his dental practice here in St. George and we are working hard trying to get patients in to get their TEETH worked on! And I also think it's appropriate because both of us are obsessed with teeth. Being in dental school for four years contributes too.

"E"... EASY. I'm not always one to take the easy road, but with two kids and a busy life, anything that says easy is the one for me! Too bad there wasn't an "easy button" for parenting.

"R" ... RELAX. I may not get too much time to relax because of my children, but I sure like to do it! Give me an afternoon nap, or an evening to just hang and I am good! A pedicure is a great relaxer too!!!

"E" ... ENERGY. Who doesn't wish for more energy? I have two kids who don't seem to run out of that quickly so I have to have as much as I can get. I've been trying to ride my bike more trailing the kids and it hasn't happened as much as I would like because it's so stinkin' hot here that I can't make it 3 blocks without sweating like a pig. We'll try harder!

"S" ... START over. Most of you know that Matt graduated dental school, we moved, and opened up a new dental practice. I would say that starting over suits just right with our situation right now. New environment, new friends, new church, new life!

"A" ... APPRECIATE. Getting a wee bit older I've come to appreciate a lot more things in life. Not only with family and friends (they are GREAT!), but with nature's beauty (Gorgeous Mt. Rainier and green in Washington, beautiful fall colors in Cleveland, my new "back yard" of Red Rock...). I appreciate small things people do for me or say. I love life.

Okay I'm done, now you're it! Annie, Molly, Stephanie, Janea, Tyra, and Elisa... tag YOU ARE IT!

MATT'S DENTAL OFFICE

Matt opened his brand new dental office this last week, and we are so glad to finally get going with work. In the three days he was open, he saw three patients, and on Monday he will be seeing five patients! Maybe now we can make some bucks to pay for the office! The office is so pretty and really has a tuscan-home feel to it...not your typical dental office. There are currently two patient chairs and on Monday, the dental supply company will be installing the last two chairs. Once they get finished with that, the office will be complete and we can have an official Grand Opening! Matt is so excited! Enjoy the pics and Matt's glamour shots too!
