Tribute to BOWLING NIGHTS

Right to Left Matt, Uncle Glen, Papa Hammons, Fred

We are finally closing on our first year (I'm sure that there will be many more to come!) of bowling league. Hooray for dad being home!! Matt has loved his bowling time with his team and the chance to work on his game. He has drastically improved during these months and will work hard to acheive that perfect game. He has been pretty close though!
So here's to a great season... until the fall!

More of Macey

Picture number one of "photoshoot" and she let us know what she thought of getting her pictures taken -- no thanks mom.

She was getting a little mad and all the wardrobe changes... headbands, I mean. But she is so stinkin' cute in them!!
No smiles yet...
Ity bity toes.

Matt and I tried to get some good shots of Macey this morning, but the boys decided that they wanted to watch too. So this session didn't last too long until she had had enough. These are the best shots we got of sweet Mace.

Life with THREE

Life with THREE is just that... life with three. Three mouths to feed, three to get dressed and bathed, three to put to bed, three bums to wipe --need I go on? All moms know how to care for their child, but when you multiply it by three it throws in a little juggling and prioritizing. It always seems like one of them is always having to wait a little bit longer than they want and then we have full on meltdowns. And who has time for yourself??? I haven't washed my hair in four days and today is no different, no time this morning... we had to make it to preschool and then to the doctor for a check up for Cru so no time for mommy. I DID manage to shower (with Cru) and brush my teeth though!

Meltdowns...take today for instance-- I'm trying to get lunch made for the boys before Macey remembers that it's past her feeding time and I'm asking Cru if he wants milk or juice. He freaks out for some reason (probably a combo of shots today and exhausion) and decides that a tantrum is the answer. His wailing wakes up Macey and she realizes that's she's starving too and starts wailing too. Meanwhile Treyson decides to join in the act and cry too because his funny noise balloon just broke and he can't live another minute without going back to Teacher Marnie's house to get another one. Are you kidding me? What else can I do but laugh.

We survived lunch (or should I say four lunches... pb&j for Cru, turkey and cheese for Trey, mommy milk for Macey, and to be announced for mommy--is there really time for me to eat?!). And right now I should be taking full advantage of free time (minus the fact that there is a ring in my toilet, mile high laundry, clean dishes in dishwasher, dirty ones in sink, etc. etc. etc.), but I decided I'd vent and let you all know my daily trials... It gets easier, it HAS to, right?

Until next time.

Keep her in your prayers...

For those of you that know the Henderson family (Brandon & Tracy) from dental school, I ask you to keep Tracy in your prayers! This last weekend she was having pains in her lower abdomen and just waited it out over the weekend, but finally went in after a friend of theirs said that it felt abnormal to him. She and Brandon headed to the ER where they checked her out for appendicitis, but instead found an avocado sized mass hanging off her colon. So they decided to do an emergency surgery and remove it. They removed a foot of her intestines and the mass from her. She will be in the hospital until Thursday or Friday to recover. The good news is that they already found out that the mass is NOT cancerous. So please keep her and her family in your prayers!! Hang in there Hendersons...hope I got the story right!

Macey Moo

By popular demand I was told I needed to post more pictures! So here are a couple of cute ones...

All my helpers...

Treyson trying out the gift "from Macey" to her
big brothers. Grandpa Hammons in the background...
Treyson loves, loves, loves Macey!
Cru gets so excited to "hold" the baby too.
Grandma Cheetham was able to come visit us for a few days to help with Macey--so fun to show her our new home, city, and new addition!

A big thanks to all my helpers... Big brothers Treyson and Cru, Grandma Cheetham, and Grandma and Grandpa Hammons! I didn't have a picture of Gma Hammons yet... she's either helping with one of the boys or busily being a big, big help with laundry, cleaning, etc. Thanks for ALL the help everyone!!

10:20 pm

I totally walked all day yesterday and by dinner I was having pretty good contractions. I had my sister in law time them for me so I had some sort of idea (even though I thought for sure it wasn't the real thing again!) and those contractions kept steady for a good 2 hours before we thought we'd better take me to the hospital. So we packed up the kids and grandma Hammons rode with the boys and I to the hospital (Matt was busy in his Monday bowling league!) I called Matt and told him to go ahead and finish his game and head over because I thought for sure I wasn't that far along. I could have hung out at home for longer, but with Cru coming so fast I thought I'd better at least check. I checked myself in and they told me that I was a six! Woohooo! I know most of you might think I'm crazy, but I decided to try the natural thing again... mostly because I'm cheap and I didn't want to pay for it. I'd done it before I could do it again, right?! Well Matt finally showed up and it was just the waiting game. The nurse checked me an hour later and said I was a good eight and she could push me to a nine... call the doctor! Doctor came and broke my water (finally) and she was born like 20-30 minutes later, ALL NATURAL! The nurses kept asking when I started the screaming, but let me tell you that this was the easiest labor so far. I pushed for like 5-10 minutes to try to take it a little slower than Cru came and it worked out great. I had no rips or tears, yeah! So excited about that. She has the cutest brown hair and her head is so perfect and round, no conehead. I am soooo thankful for a wonderful labor! Since it went so great I am already home with her and we are doing great. She is loving her brothers and they are loving her. Cru didn't really even care to see me all he said was, "BABY!" with arms wide open to see her.
